Hi folks....Replaced the main windscreen wiper switch On the steering column) the weekend.
After disconnecing the battery and leaving it around 20 mins-as reccomended, I then removed the drivers airbag, cassette (Squib) etc. to get at the switch. All went straightforward without any problems. I had left the steering wheel in the straight ahead position before I started and noticed that the white indicator on the squib was central. Refitted everything and reconnected the battery. The SRS lamp went out as normal and stayed out.
Today however, I went to the car, turned the ignition on and the SRS lamp did a self check, went out for about 5 secs. and came on & stayed on.
The car has not been moved or the steering wheel turned since I started the job.
I think it needs to go onto diagnostics for a fault read/reset, does anyone know of an Independant in North Wales or can offer any advice.
By the way...we are snow free here apart from on the hills !!
