Hello Folks,
Just joined this forum and I thought I'd post up a recent P38 experience that might help someone else sometime.

After replacing my all my badly perished suspension airbags things were going great without having to worry about the dreaded on-the-bump-stops journey home..... until one day I noticed the old girl back on her bump stops in the morning. About the same time I got a SRS Airbag error but didn't connect the two, I just ignored "beep-beep" and concentrated on trying to fix the air bag issue. New pump piston seal, rebuild valve block, etc. etc. but she never returned back to 'full rise' in a few seconds like before. it's been like that few a few months, sluggish rise over perhaps 5 minutes and pump thumping away.

Tonight thought I'd fix the annoying SRS Airbag fault and recalled reading a post on this forum about wobbling wires under the seat. Sure enough unplugging each of the yellow sheathed cables from the connector under each seat, cleaning the contacts and replacing cleared the problem.

Start up and no SRS Airbag warning, but also the old girl rose up to her tiptoes in a few seconds for the first time in months.....

Are these issues connected? Perhaps I nudged the magic box under the seat? I dunno but I'm a happy chap and been going from load mode to wade mode all evening just 'cos I can now......
