Hello, My SRS air bag dash board light remains on after I have started the engine. This started a few days ago. Can anyone please tell me if there is anything that I can check or is it a dealer job? also, if I ignore it for a few months is it likely to go off whilst I'm driving?
Thank you in anticipation
Rob.

Same thing happened to my 2003 Serengeti. Took it to my local man who checked it over and cleared the fault code. It never recurred in the 5000 miles up to selling the vehicle. Hope this helps.

Nothing wrong really. Under the drivers seat are some wires, these are connected some how to the SRS. By persistently playing around with these it will go away. The SRS will still function as usual but the sensor is not connected I believe.
It is to do with moving the seat back and forward. My light has been on 1 month after every MOT.
I did my driving test with it on.
It is a Freelander trait. Good Luck.

With the SRS light on your airbags won't deploy in the event of a crash.

Best bet is to get the codes read and then you can determine what's up
