i have rocky mountain parabolic springs fitted to series 3. i read somewhere that the RH side should be higher and that these springs are handed. my LH side is about 1 1/2 inches higher! is this correct or could someone have fitted them the wrong way round? are there any identification marking on this springs that i could check out?

thanks jon

Yes they are handed the drivers side are slightly stronger as you have the fuel tank on the drivers side my parabollocks had no markings so laid the two fronts together and the one with the greater curve was the one i fitted to the drivers side. Worked for me,:)

The Rocky mountains are not handed. I got in touch with them as they had no markings saying left or right hand side and the reply was. Thats because they are identical and you can fit them either side facing either forward or backward. There is no lean to the landy with Rockies fitted, just nice and level.

Oh and when I say they can be fitted forwards or backwards I dont mean rear springs on the front :) I mean they can be rotated and fitted either way around. Dont know if other makes of paras are different tho. If the passanger side is too high it may be due to the springs not being settled before niping up the shackel bolts???

Jon... if you pm me your email address I have a 3Mb file that Rocky Mountain emailed me. The first part basicaly is all about them and how good they are and all others are inferior and so on so forth and then it moves onto the full fitting instructions of the springs, shocks, check straps and U bolt bits and bobs with all the do's and dont's (Also states that the springs arn't handed). Ill reply as soon as I can but am at works for quite a while now so hang in there if I dont get straight back to you.
