hey, all of a sudden this morning when i started her up, 200tdi, theres been a weird metal spinning noise. i dont get it if am stationery nor when at full revs, seems to be noticable when either coasting or cruising at low revs. I though it was the front prop but when i got home and had a look under neither everything seems ok, all uj are fine. Thats me stuck on what it could be, any ideas ?

i find they cause more problems than they solve......... just make sure you wash your brakes down after going through mud or you may find you go through pads and disks very quick!

Have a look at the tin shield on the transfer box front output flange, it's pressed on but mine came loose.

Altinator belt slipping? Or Power steering belt? Mine makes a metalic sound rather than a swqueel at the moment! Think it may be the pully wheel vibrating as it slips.

Is your fan catching on anything? Could be your alternator cooling fins catching on something too.
