What material is the spigot bearing made from?
Phosphor bronze, oil impregnated?

Sintered bronze ,oil impregnated?

This is for my Discovery TD5, the one I have purchased is sloppy in the crankshaft, the void in the end of the crankshaft measures evenly all round.

I did see an old post about this but no replies.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so how has this been resolved?

Appreciate any advice.

Sorry, I can't help with you enquiry, but I know that you need to use GL4 gear oil in certain gear boxes. GL5 attacks certain bronze fittings.
But you're talking about the engine.

Where did you purchase it from ?

Did you give them the gearbox number for cross-reference purposes ?
