Does anyone know a brand/description and/or source of good blue roll paper, please?

I had some really good, strong, thick stuff from ebay a couple of years ago, but bought some recently that I thought was the same, but it's just terrible and breaks up as soon as you try and use it.

Thanks in advance.

Do you have a catering supplies wholesaler you can use??
I used to do a fair bit of work for restaurants and always blagged a roll if I could.

West End DIY. Or B and M, Bookers, lots of places.
Try and get the stuff that is for catering use, rather than the cheapest available, it is better quality and more absorbent.

Hand on heart it is all dog shti, only good one used to be wurth, wide/long/thick and does not tear as soon as you look at it, not used any for approx 12mths, so that may have changed as well!

Local Makro for me too although TBH it's thin & not very good.
Much prefer the 'Saxon' brand kitchen rolls from Aldi but Mrs R got some 'Plenty' kitchen roll recently & that's very good, much stronger.

Thanks for the replies, everyone.

Unfortunately | can't access Makro or Booker. Although looking for catering paper rather than automotive stuff is a useful pointer. Thanks, all - I'll keep that in mind in the future.

Found some Wurth stuff on ebay from Demon Tweeks, but it's £35! Ouch. Does look like a big roll/sheets, though. I'd certainly not have risked that without a recommendation, but I may well give that a go.

The Scott stuff, however, is cheap enough that I'll give this a try first, in the hope that it's good enough.

Cheers!

+1 for Saxon, good sized sheets & they tear off the roll cleanly.

Scott stuff is great

Hi

I agree with Lynall Wurth is not cheap but it is one of the best, maybe ebay there must be someone selling Wurth ??

It looks like Wurth will only supply to the trade. Looked around the web for any other suppliers, and the only place I could find were two sellers on ebay; Demon Tweeks and JJC Race and Rally, both at pretty much the same price.

Turns out these are companies share the same directors, which explains their similar prices and stock items.

But left it a couple of days, and happened to get sent a 20% discount voucher that could be applied to that seller...so I've bitten the bullet and ordered some of that to go along with the Scott.

Thanks for everyone's advice.

Interesting about Demon Tweaks and JJR&R, I won't waste time price checking them in future!
Re blue roll, its probably been panic bought for covid. And if it hasn't it soon will be.
