hi there, can anyone advise me on two things about sound insulation (110 1986 ex mod) would the condensation ruin the roof eggboxing or help prevent it? and what do you think i should put over the rear floor insulation panel? ply ok? cheers all

whatever u decide to put on the roof you need to use the correct adhesive,get it wrong and condensation will make it fail and in the summer the heat generated on the roof will also make it fail

but eggboxes never seen that done in a fender

heavy duty rubber matts work well in the load area

Camping bed roll matting (non absorbent closed cell) or the silver foil stufff with air pockets used in buildings work well on the roofs, but as said you must use the high temp trimfix spray if you want it to stay put

Used camping mat ( 3 rolls at £4 each) + 1 tin of trimfix (£8) to do mine

Got a genuine Land Rover loadspace liner, about £100, but looks tidy with the Land Rover logo on it, any rubber mat will do really

'toeragstruckmats' on eBay do great rubber matting. I've just bought some for the back of my 90 and it was cheap and easy to cut to fit exactly. I finished it off with a 900mm section of edge trim from Wickes and it looks great!

Ive bought 10 meters of chequer plate matting, done the seat box, bulk head, and floor, looks great and cost £70. ive got the templates if your close to cov.

Wickes self adhesive flashbanding is reasonably priced and quite effective at deadening , stops drumming as well

hey, red september, got a new but damaged so reduced price stable mat, really thick and perfect cos of grooves on underside for drainage. cut width down (length-6ft-perfect!) and bob's your auntie
