The outrigger looks solid, its the bit on the end of it that the body bolts to, is this all one piece, it just looks like the bits the bolt goes through are separate parts? best way i can describe it is as a pair of parallel plates with a bolt through that appears to hold the body. It looks like its attached to the door post so is that the bulkhead too?

Ahh, bolts out i can do! It'l need cutting off by the look of it, totally nakered and rusted! weld, errm, NOPE! need to learn i guess It's me first land rover and i didn't realise how useful it would be! Got a decent welder at the local garage, not too expensive from what i can tell, welded the front legs for me no prob.
Just had a look in the ol haynes book, i found a diagram of the bulkhead and wots gone on mine is the bracket at the bottom under the door post, clear on the diagram (fig 12.4 in the book), the bit the tie bolt goes through. Could this be called a 'door pillar repair bottom bracket'? as any diagrams i have showing the outrigger dont include this bit!

yes i know! spot welded in! drilled out, bent a bit, hit with hammer pulled wiv chain supposed to be a serious weakness according to mot guy, if they were weak i'd hate to see what he called solid!!!! never mind done now, just need to repaint! thanks for the help! Still trying to sort a photo of the swivels, broke me camera good and propa!
