After moving my friends horses with my big green RangeRover and horse trailer the suspension dropped and wouldn't come back up :'( being worried I took it to a Landy garage not so long ago in Notts and they quoted £360 for a new pump, they weren't going to tell me! They just ordered it, it was by chance I rang them and I stopped them before they fitted it. I took the RangeRover away and told them I'd be in touch. A while later I looked on Ebay and found a RANGE ROVER P38 EAS AIR SUSPENSION COMPRESSOR PUMP SEAL kit :) for £17.44 for sale by symlisep38p#arts. The part came with insructions so set about the job myself. As on the internet people said it was an hours job and easy to do. So I stripped the pump and fitted new seals, put the pump back together and fitted back in my RangeRover :) I then proceeded to start up my big green beastie and waited for her to rise........and waited and waited then all of a sudden up she went :D I was sooooooo proud of myself for attempting such a daunting job and even prouder that I'd saved £343. All coming from a lady with no mechanical background. Its amazing what you can learn from the information on this site :) Thanks peeps

well done :clap2: . btw what the garage did was illegal. They need permission before any work is done. Report them.

Good on yer gel ...

Woo hoo - :D :banana::banana::banana:

It's nice to know another of the LZ ladies has made a saving in money and a boost to her knowledge ...

Well done :clap2:

Or you could have let the garage do the work then refuse to pay them as they didn't have permission to do it ;)

Everytime ya lower and lift the suspension you can do what the rest of us do when we have done a job, sit with a big smug grin knowin it only works cause ya got ya hands dirty :D
Well done :D

depends on the "verbal contract"
did you drop it off and say "can you fix this?"
or did you take it in and say "can you tell me whats wrong with this?"

after having similar, I now make sure I get a copy of the job sheet detailing what has been agreed.
