looks like water preheater ,little pipe should have 2 pipes coming off one to top of injection pump to give boost pressure feed for pump diaphragm to give more fuel as more air is forced in by turbo and feed for wastegate actuator,egr is blanked

no problem ,trace your feed from injector pump top back has it been atached to inlet manifold rather than your little fitting on turbo housing
