I have been through the old posts but don't think this is the same issue. My drivers side door handle has stopped working but operates as normal.

I became worse over time where it would take a number of attempts to get it to open the door. Now it just moves but does not cause the latch to unlock.

Sounds like door card removal time!!
They can be removed from inside as someone in the design department realized they were using tatty old mgf latches and thought these will need to come off at the dealers at some point🤭

@Datatek Yes it open from the inside. Its the only way I can use the car.

The window winding mechanism broke so the door card is already off. I will have a look to see if that rod has come off.

Try this. With one hand lift the latch. With the latch lifted give the door a quick little push inward.. ALL 3 of my RRCs had this problem. After getting the door opened, adjustment of the latch post on the door frame helps.

Until the aluminum handles themselves break...

Thanks everyone, I have had a good look at it and it is the same part, the cam, as the one that causes the sticky handle problem. Looks like the door handle pin that moves the cam has worn the seat on the cam so the cam does not move enough to open the door.
