are you lot a bunch of cynics too?

anyways quick question and i am aware i may have missed this in my forum browsing, the central locking blip thing on the key fob doesn't unlock the main door? is this usual or can i fix third,as tbh when i have my arms fill of stuff and need to open the door its a pain in the bum.

STILL love her though

Try changing the fob battery, then holding the button down. The rear window should drop so yu can throw all the stuff in the boot.

Which door is the 'main' door?

Do you mean the rear door - or the driver's door?

Which door or doors does it unlock?

One press of the fob should unlock the driver's door only and a second press unlock the other doors.

It can be reprogrammed to unlock all the doors at once though.

Yep what MHM said, change the battery, also the case if it's tatty:

The Freelander section is largely populated by either very helpful or very in-need-of-help types. You won't get the sort of nonsense that you get elsewhere unless they get bored and come here for a pop which they almost always do.

i meant the drivers door i thought it was a bit weird it would only open the other doors .... bit of a headache tbh

OK then - I would suggest you do a search for door lock actuator / solenoid.

Not too difficult to fix - plenty info on here - if you know what to look / search for.
