Folks, I off road, commute and am planning some expeditions (nothing major). I am was wondering how much of your kit you always carry and what you park until you go somewhere specific. So what is it, nothing, basics (tow rope, jump lead, simple tools, jack) or something more...jerry can, kitchen sink, etc. Would like to know what specifically you do carry, ta muchly
 
all my recovery gear, tirfor strops etc. & tools, socket set spades axe machete oil, water grease wd40 ect etc live in a purpose made box in the back of the 90.
 
i carry all my recovery gear and a variety of tools, a spade and a few other goodies, im also in the process of building a custom drawer system in my boot, its nearly finished now but this was it wen i started >

Nice one disco man. I have started something similar for my 90. I am concerned that it will squeek and creek like hell. B4 someone gets in, I know it needs to struggle through the rest of LR noises but just wondering if you have found it a prob. ta K

get some extra strong waterproof no more nails, trust me it aint gonna squeek with that, nails and a few bolts on
ill go out now and take a pis of it with the draws in
 
I always carry tow ropes/strops, shackles, jump leads (anderson plug mounted under headlight), general tools+sockets, wet weather gear, length of EAS hose+connectors, WD40, and few other small spares. I keep it all in a Milan missle case which makes a great and much cheaper alternative to a Pelican, glassfibre construction and still waterproof, even has humidity indicator on front to show contents are dry. Also 4kg's worth of dry powder extinguisher and first aid kit.

My rrc pretty much always has; tool box, socket set, jump leads, wd40, 1 8m strop, 2m strop/bridle, 4 rated shackles and a decent first aid kit.

What's an Anderson plug then?:confused:

Nah just cut crocodile clips off one end of a set and fit an anderson plug to the loose ends so clips one end and anderson plug on the other.
 
In the back of my 90. Wet weather gear, fridge, tins of food,coffee ,water ,small gas stove, camping kettle, camping pots, 13FT salmon rod, reels, wading stick, waders ,wading boots and a wading jacket, small toolkit, oil, wd40 and duck tape. Fishing related stuff is replaced by a shovel in the closed season. shovel comes out the end off April. All stored on the dog guard in the fridge and a plastic ikea box. Probably far to much stuff.
