And bought her self a land rover :D

She has never even driven one until today so it was an interesting drive home but she is well chuffed, not so happy about it costing nigh on two grand to insure though

Lovely, and the land rover's not bad either:)

did she go on the meerkat site , my daughter ended up with Diamond (good prices for ladies of the feminine gender )

We spent four hours phoning round but nowhere would do it for under 1800 quids

she shunted some one on a round about in april and its killing her on the insurance now

She'll never be able to afford new jeans:rolleyes::)

Ah sod it, some girls of her age would spend over a grand on a handbag if it had some label on it, at least the landy will last longer, give more enjoyment and look better :D

Get some security sorted NOW though, you don't want the insurance to go up again!

Can I ask how old she is? 2 grand seems steep even with a claim :(

She's nineteen, only been driving since october so no no claims yet and a claim all be it for less than 200 quids but still means that she had some stupid quotes of over ten grand!

We even tried telling one insurance firm that the landy was worth a grand and she would have a voluntary excess of and grand and they still wanted four grand :eek:

Thats rough did u try Flux? But good on her and I really hope she enjoys her new pride and joy

Yeah but they still wanted 1800 quids and after reading some of the bad reports about them on here we decided she would be better with A plan who she was already with for a little more but better service

It's not too bad, got a few faults and wants some series doors chucking on it but its a pretty good bog standard ish 90 :)

Ah that's the problem being young :( mine is 600 n I'm 23 still a lot for something that's worth scrap!

Hmm so she's 19 owns a land rover... She single? :D :p

What I couldn't understand is a series 2 or 3 worth the same with the same 2.5na engine would have cost less than 800 quids to insure??

Yet surely there is bugger all difference between em really (different design excepted)
