On a recent holiday under load I had a ‘misfire’ lack of power and then a stall when stopped. Restarted then all good til the next time up a hill.
Have swapped the injector loom and while I was at it removed the tuning box it had fitted. Found oil leaks around the cam cover and where the dcv pipe connects. Sealed that with a smear of hylomar and jubilee clip.
Initial drives of around 20 miles or so were all good, no sign of the injector open circuit or topside post injection codes reappearing yet. On a longer drive tonight it has developed a chatter of sorts, almost the tone of a repeating hiss. Only other thing to note is the belt has screeched a couple of times on start up recently.
I’ve ordered a dcv valve in case that was causing the leaks but not sure it would be relevant to this new noise?
