Hi guys, driving along in my Citroen C3 (I know it's not a Landy but I've also got two Disco's...so there !) the other day and BANG !! one of the spark plugs blew from the cylinder head. Repair bloke says I need to have a heli-coil put in, workshop recommended a sleeve coil (or something like that) what's the difference and which is better ?

One is a spiral coil, the other is a sleeve threaded on the outside and inside, both require the orginal hole to be enlarged, I have used both types not a lot to chose between either imo.

If yer careful, yer should be able to helicoil it without removing the head.
That'll make it a lot cheaper / easier than a sleeve coil.

Too late, the head's off. Just wating to get it done.
