Hi All

I recently had to have the fuel pump replaced on my Landy and the local garage took 2 weeks to fix the problem (acting fairly coy in the process). The cost was £274 and me not being particuarly mechanically minded I'd like to know if anyone thinks I've been stitiched on price or wherther this seems to be a typical cost.

Appreciate your views.

Cheers

Jim

I don't know how much the pump would have been for your freelander, but I expect it was not over say £50, so they took £224 to fit it? Couple of pipes and a few bolts!

Hi Disco

According to the invoice the replacement part was £170!!

Was it a diesel Freelander? I know some diesel fuel pumps on other manufacturers vehicles can be pricy. £274 does seem a little expensive though.
