I was driving to my work and as I turned into my parking area smoke started wafting out of my steering column/flasher switch. Now my turn signals don't work and I have to try to make it home before the cops catch me... Lucky that I work at the courthouse tonight....

Also today the spring that keeps the brake pedal up broke on me. I have to pull it back up with my feet after I push it down...

My rover ROCKS!!!!!!!!

Looks like I have some work to do tonight.

Anyone else have a troublesome car like this as their daily driver?

So I have 5 wires... A light green that is hot. a black/white, darkgreen/red, darkgreen/white, that read 12 volts when metered with the light green, and a black/red that doesn't read anything when its connected to the light green.

How do I go about hooking this up? Can I use any old 3 position switch?

I used a three position switch on my Range Rover, no idea what it was off so if it was good enough for me I should think it will do you. Good luck.

Andy:) ;)

You're lucky: all my wires are the same colour. :p

I'm going into town today to buy a nice crimper and a bunch of terminals. Any thoughts on what gauge of wire I should get for simple dashboard wires? I'm gonna redo every one that looks at me the wrong way.
