HELP
TD5 with no 'previous' began to misfire (as if running on four instead of five cylinders), some smoke - blue/grey - then the car started to go slower and slower.
I stopped, went into neutral, revd engine -misfire/smoke then 'rattling' sound and engine died. Could not be restarted, wouldn't even turn over.(as if no battery). Tow truck arrived tried jump leads, still would not turn over. Towed into yard to await 'instructions'.
Anybody got any suggestions as to cause - tow guy reckons fuel injector/s but admits he's no Land Rover man (by the by, I'm in southern France on holiday, with a caravan!). There is a 'main stealer' nearby.
I'd dearly love to know what I'm facing...
