does anyone have any info on the vivaro?owned one more like.

they make 2 differant engine sizes i think.1.9 and 2.3 i think.

wonderd if there were much differance on mpg.

and 5 speed or 6 speed?

my scudo will be picked up tommorow.pritty sure its a write off.

Vivaro, Trafic, Relay, all same difference AFAIK.

whats yer main use, 1.9 supposed to be good round town, but the 2.3 if yer a motorway basher.

Go for a low mileage one and make sure you keep some money back for repairs cos they like to chew up gearboxes.

If you can go for a 2007 on van, they don't have the gearbox problems of the 1.9, s.

I'd also keep away from the 2.5.

The 1.9/2.0 diesel will average 33 mpg.

My 1.9 Vivaro averages 27mpg, but spends most of it's life in 3rd gear on the Cornish lanes.
Plenty of power, even when heavily loaded.
Only problem I've had so far is a MAF sensor - £85 quid to fix.
I paid £3950 for an ex British Gas van with 50k miles, FSH and recent cam belt.
Also came fully racked out and with an easi-load ladder rack. Bargain!

I`ve just bought an 08 Vito for work, 110 model and goes well when its full. Not bad on fuel either!

I've driven one for work every day for the last 6 years. I'ts a 56 plate 1.9cdti. I've done 55000 miles in it carrying near to full load (2900).

I really can't fault it, I've grown to really like it, and it drives great. It's the newer facelift shape with 6 speed gear box.

It is an Openreach vehicle and the company have chipped them for a supoosedly 25% fuel saving, and it drives better having been chipped too.

I'd buy one if I needed to get a van for personal use.

There's a reason transits are still selling well... you not looked at transits??

New ones have tensioner issues. We have several new ones at work and the belts are squealing on all of them. Been back several times. The tensioners seem to self adjust and just fail

ive got an 09 tranny im looking at trading for a 110 utility, its a limited model with air con, heated screen, heated seat, multi disc cd, auto lights and wipers, cruise control, trip computer, ipod/mp3 etc alloys. Im looking for arround £8.5k for it.

that'll buff out!

we have the 1.9cdti trafic, drives comfortably enough, but so sluggish, even worse when laden. it just takes forever to get up to speed but will happily sit and cruise at any speed it eventually reaches though.

I'd go for a transporter or transit any day over the vivaro, trafic or the other one thats exactly the same with a different french badge.

the last van I brought was an 06 transit - crackin van! Couldn't fault it! I wanted a vivaro/trafic but the transits seemed better value for money with more to choose from. Vito's seemed to rust to quickly n transporters were all disgustingly over priced compared to anything else. I looked at a 52 plate transporter van on 180k that was the same price as the 06 transit on 115k that I ended up buying.

Sounds like summit is up.

Our works vivaro's all accelerate well even when fully laden.
