Finally got my Nanocom today and set about recalibrating the SLS after replacing the sensors after a blow out. I’m able to raise the suspension height using the calibration tool, but nothing happens when I try to lower it. The amber ride height light is on, and the nanocom isn’t logging any errors.

I have been driving about with the compressor disconnected for about 6 weeks, topping bags up by activating it manually when needed. I also removed the SLS 30A fuse in a bid to stop the constant beeping.

Going to have another look tomorrow (didn’t really get a good go at it this evening).

Any thoughts or ideas most welcome!

Go with nanocom in "outputs" and see if you can hear the exhaust valve clicking when you activate it, according to the result we'll speak again
 
No clicking sound. I discovered that one of the three wires on the n/s sensor plug was broken, and when I checked the other side, I pushed the wires back and another sort of snapped off at the plug. They all feel very incredibly brittle.

Should be able to fix this today and report back. Looks fiddly though as not much give from the plugs.

You'll need new plugs at the end, they are available as spare cos it's common failure https://landrover-connectors.co.uk/products ... the fact that the exhaust valve doesnt click means that the circuit to it or the solenoid is faulty that's why you can't deflate the bags, unplug the exhaust valve, hook a voltmeter to the connector's pins and watch it while you activate the valve with nanocom, if you get 12V then the valve is fubar, if not the circuit between the ECU and that valve is interrupted, it goes through that orange connector in the engine bay near the fusebox(C0377/0391) pin 1(black/white wire)... the ECU is a bit suspect too as it should have logged a fault codes for a sensor broken wire and the exhaust valve malfunction even though nanocom used to randomly miss SLS codes as well. I have plugs I can steal from my old disco and possibly a working solenoid, if that’s the issue… will check this out.

All sorted. On closer inspection realised the plug for outlet valve was loose, so that was an easy fix. Spliced on the new plugs for the sensors and everything now seems fine.

In other nanocom news I am getting a 0 for airflow g/hr, which I’m supposing indicates a dead MAF…

probably... unless you are unlucky enough to be a wiring issue on that circuit... check fuse F2 in the engine bay fusebox to rule it out and if your's is Eu2 engine with bypassed EGR just unplug the MAF and forget about it, if the EGR is still on or if it's Eu3 engine you need a new genuine(frigging expensive) one cos on Eu3 the fuelling is calculated based on MAF inputs
 
Fuse ok. So MAF on euro2 makes no difference? Mine is a 10p from 1999/2000 so assuming that’s euro2, and have bypassed the EGR.
