Hi guys, just bought myself a 97, 300TDi Auto Discovery:), it looked good on inspection, but since having it at home I have noticed spots of oil on the road, :( I have had a look underneath and they seem to be coming from 2 spots. I know this is a common fault, the leak seems to be coming down a join in one of the lines???? I think anyway and then dripping of what I think is the housing for the gearbox??? again I think?

What areas do they usually come from and is it easy to fix, I feel that is may just be a loose fixing as there is not a great deal of a leak, and from just one spot with it filtering along the line (exterior) and then dropping off at lowest drip point, which is the housing?

Any suggestions?

Thanks everyone!!:)

These are the pictures, of what I think is the gearbox housing, probably not and the pipes, not sure what oil it is though

Yes it was green, I have taken it in for a service and told them to have a look at it. I promise 'fireman-andy' when I take it into the bush (Aussie talk) it wont look as clean underneath!
