Has anybody changed a clutch slave cylinder on a 04 freelander td4 ? And is it possible to do at home? Also does anybody know how to isolate the rear drivers brake ? Have been told that there is a solenoid in engine bay ?! Thanks in advance

Yes. But it's part of the clutch release bearing assembly, called a "concentric". To replace it requires the gearbox to be removed, which is a lot of work, and very time consuming if you've not done it before.

Nope. The ABS modulator and master cylinder are in the engine bay, but you can't play with those, unless you want no brakes at all.

Thanks for the replies Asking because it’s on my drive and I wanted to get it to the garage that is less than a mile up the road and someone had suggested isolating the bad brake line ?!

If the rear brake has stuck on, then it's very likely that the brake shoes hold down pin has rusted through. This then allows the rear brakes to lock up solid.

The rear brakes are supposed to stripped annually, being cleaned, any rusty components replaced, greased correctly and then assembled and adjusted. Once the vehicle stops going to the dealership for it's annual service, all this important and safety critical maintenance gets forgotten, so then things go wrong.
