As you can see from the link its the HDC, but what its really for is scaring the **** out of the missis on really steep icy hills. The only other way to provoke that kind of reaction is to fake a heart attack whilst piloting a light aircraft with her.

i'm dissapointed .. have yet to find out if mine works .. :(

does it take out the sunroof ?

~~~
'Andy999' ..
that hill-descent-control device .. only works in first and reverse gears ..
you press the button .. take your feet off the pedals ..
( keep hands on steering wheel :)
and the system will control the vehicles' descent on steep slippery hills ..
it doesn't work in other gears even if the button remains depressed ..
It's extremely good at what it does. Try it out somewhere safe while the snow is still here :). If you have your handbook it's all described in there.
Fair play off road in nasty ruts and big boulders the Hippo loses out to the tratters - but in adverse road conditions there are fecking safe. Between HDC and the TC you're going to get home in even the worst blizzard as long as you don't try to drive like its a dry summers day :rolleyes:.
Well put pal , the HDC does work , and uses the ABS ( the brakes ) to control the rate of decent :eek:
