Quick question, Will a power steering box from a Defender 90/110 fit an SIII 109? Fitting the pump on the engine is no problem just wanted to know if the steering boxes were the same........

its been done but the steering boxes arent the same - i think theres some bolt on kits for it on the net somewhere

out of interest why do you want power steering? its just something else to go wrong!

i want to use it as much as possible. i live in town and most of the driving will be done in town. Apart from a few off road days, Im not exactly Mr Universe and am just thinking about how to make it a little more driver friendly.........

im hardly mr universe but i dont find the lack of power steering an issue

i would say if you havent already use it for a few months as it is first, you might find it more user friendly than you imagined, i certainly have no problem with parking, tight maeuvres etc with my ones

if the steering is in GOOD condition you shoulnd need power steering, mak sure your steering realy isn't fooked

i dunt have power steering on any of mine, ser2 or 90, or last 110 , once yer used to it, its fine, i do a good mix or town and country driving , towing and reversing heavy trailers etc with out a prob, really tight parking is tricky but possable, tis more down to the lock more than PAS

Well thanks guys, maybe I'll just leave it as it is then. Once I start driving it I'll maybe see how it is. Many Thanks for your input.

Yeap it's def a lot easier to turn when it's moving. Was thinking more along the lines of car parks. I dont really think my local Tesco's is Land Rover friendly. Tight lanes and tight spaces. You know what its like
