JUST PURCHASED THESE SIDE STEPS FOR MY DISCO , BUT THERE IS NO WERE FOR THEM TO GO ? ANY CHANCE OF A BIT OF ADVISE ? THERES NO HOLES UNDER MY LANNY FOR ANY BRACKETS OR NOTHIN ? ? ANY HELP MUCH APRECIATED
One of the brackets fits behind the front wheel on the body to chassis bolt and the other fits in front of the rear wheel on the body to chassis bolt, then they are bolted onto the flange / web. If you look underneath the vehicle all will become clear. If its of any help to you I will post some pics of the brackets.
they are nice looking steps mate, but the brackets that fit them are missing.there are 2 different sorts of brackets.(standard and easy fit). if you phone landranger(their phone no is on landranger.com)and ask them for the easy fit brackets life will be a lot simpler. they then clamp on to the out riggers that bolt your body to the chassis. or you could buy the standard brackets like i did and then struggle like fook to get them to fit, realise its a near impossible task then go and get some easyfit brackets and half an hour later, hey presto, the sidesteps are fitted.
fitting instructions can be foud here........... http://www.roverparts.com/instructions.html
but as yella disco say's you need the brackets to bolt them to the out riggers.
bit bling bling are'nt they !!!!
the only problem with the standard brackets is that if your body to chassis bolts are seized they are a right b'stard to get out and new ones are a pain to fit, especially the rears. beleive me, i know!
