Hi All
I am new to the forums and to be honest new to Land Rovers having always been a J**p fan (Sorry!)
Recently got myself a Disco 1 which has been customised for off-roading
Yes I am a Hulk fan and with a green landy I just had to
I don't do a great deal of hard core off-roading and a mechanic advised me I would be better off removing the roll cage as I also use it for general day to day driving. So my choices are:
a) Leave it as it is, it looks cool and will be helpful when I do off-road.
b) Remove the back section, easy enough as the front it fixed solidly but would mean the back bit would be good for nothing but scrap
c) Remove the whole thing and sell it.
What would you guys suggest? My main concern is the added weight and therefore the added fuel consumption, will it make a big difference to MPG and speed?
One thing to bare in mind is if I remove the whole thing I would then need to buy a light bar.
Any thoughts would be most appreciated.
