The Shire Land Rover Club are pleased to announce that we are now taking bookings for the annual event at Seven Sisters on the 19th and 20th September 2009. The 1,600 acres site, also known as Walters Arena, is situated in beautiful, forest covered, hillside near the town of Abercave in South Wales and is generally regarded as being one of the best, and most varied, sites in the UK. It is so good it is now the official test site used by Land Rover. The site’s maze of gravel tracks, which are used for one of the special sections of Wales Rally GB, allows easy access to a huge variety of terrain. There is rock crawling, water and streams and some mud with terrain suitable for all levels of cars from brand new, straight from the showroom through to the most modified or custom machines out there. Even after going half a dozen times you will still find new things to drive! The cost for the weekend is £80, which gets access to the site on both Saturday and Sunday. The club has also organised off site camping at £10 per night for up to 4 people (£15 per night for caravans). To attend you must also have valid membership to the Shire Land Rover club (£15 per year). If you wish to attend please see the form on the website (The Shire Land Rover Club - Seven Sisters) on the dedicated 7S page. Please note that although we also take bookings through Paypal there is an additional £10 charge to cover the fee Paypal charge the club.

This really is a great weekend for all the family as there are very few sites that offer the same mix of breathtaking scenery (if the weather holds!!!!) and varied terrain – you really can do whatever you want. Those that have been before know how great this site is and those that haven’t been will want to keep coming back once they’ve seen what’s on offer. For more information please see the club website or email me at events@shirelrc.com. We look forward to seeing you there!
