I'm doing the front suspension on my '69 2A and need some new shackle pins (I cut one out with a grinder it was in such bad state, and another got slightly bent extracting it).
I had a look on Craddocks for Front of Spring Shackle Pins:
Series 2 (50-62): £15 each
https://www.johncraddockltd.co.uk/s...1950-62-and-front-of-rear-spring-1954-62.html
Series 3 (64-84): 60p each
https://www.johncraddockltd.co.uk/s...ver-shackle-pin-front-of-springs-1964-84.html
Learning from my swivel fixings, where I needed to use the Series 3 part numbers to get the right size parts (there's a thread for that), I am happy to use the year (1969) as a guide rather than the Series, so I'm happily falling in the 60p each category..
Question: Why the huge price difference?
[Another option, and I still need to check the exact measurements, are some zinc-plated high tensile hex bolts of the right size, for example: £5 each
https://www.westfieldfasteners.co.u...Thread-UNF-7-16x6-inch-BZP-Grade-5-Steel.html
..but that depends on thread and dimensions etc.]
