hi to everyone im new to the forum but any way


ive just got a swb series 3 with gearbox transfer or diff problems
as it drives along it locks up the rear wheels and the previous has replaced the rear diff as im new to series im not sure what the problem is

Any help would be gratefully accepted

when does it lock the rears? on accel, decel,or when turnng

so you were pootling along and bam the rear axle locks up? how did you get it to un lock? or haven't you done it?

free s off if i reverse but then locks again after a 100 yards so got towed the rest of the way home with the transfer box in neutral

sounds like the transfer box is shagged. does it happen in low box and high box?

didn't get a chance to find out but there's a knocking when it push about

try it in low first, but if it rolls in neutral it sounds like the problem is your transfer box
