Hi will a series one 86 inch hard top roof, full van type, not truck cab, fettle onto my 1952 80 inch ?

Depends what you mean by "fettle" Probably a fair bit of work I recon to do. Ask on series one club site.
Land rover were a bit slow presenting a hard top for the series one and now and then have come across after marked ones produced by "local" company's.

Thanks i will. Its just that i can buy one that was on a 1958 series one but they are 86 inch. Thanks for your help

Easier to get truck cab canvas.

If you are going to build from an 86…
Put on sides & trim the excess off the area by the door.move any of the edges and brackets back to suit.

Roof.. attach to the front windscreen and remove the excess above the rear door. Replace the door/end

And 107 truck cabs don’t fit either
As per attached have both types of canvas.

I thought that when I posted it… it’s the fence behind the motors which looks like a tow rope.
I trust my spannering & don’t carry a rope
