met up with a mate of mine from north lincs ,last weekend in the peakdistrict (castleton/hope) we decided to camp out despite the inclement weather i.e. sodding sub zero ,anyway eventually found a great campsite (the only one that would allow a fire) at the base of pindale quarry ,with the intention of heading off up pindale etc the next morning .as it turns out 5 mins into pindale he popped his diff ,and we had to head off over to another mates with him in 2 wheel drive ,to spend a couple of hours or so replacing his bust diff ,that done we did a couple of other lanes ,lathgill ,and monsal head ,,,,,fantastic even in the rain lol (supplier of new diff and tea and stuff joined us in his ffr lightweight ,with no roof/screen in the rain ???????? mental as !!!!!)

stuck a vid on here if anybody is intrested ......

YouTube - ollr green laning in the peak district

bear in mind it was wet as hell so we chose lanes with hard bases so not to churn em up (muddy bits were local cows had marched mudd all over the surface )

Great vid mate ,, looked amazing . I know a few fellas who would love a trip to derbyshire lol ..

Spyderman runs a slick looking series that will just about take anything in its stride ,,

would love and old series totally stripped down with no doors , but lol i know i would want the windshield in place lol way too many bugs out and about in the summer months .. I dont mind the rain its a bug in the face at 40 mile an hour lol that hurts ,

Good show mate ..

tis a luvverly bit of the world ,and series motors just look so at home there ,guess im lucky that its only 30 mins drive from me (must be some compensations to livvin in the gun ridden ghetto suburbs of manchester)lol ,weather was a bit on the iffy side that weekend but not that bad if you've got a roof and screen lol ..........

Could you tell me where abouts the lanes you used are, as I think it's time my range rover got out and about again, cheers.
