Hi all,
I'm planning on joining the Land Rover series owners club by making my first land rover purchase.
A family member is selling a 1980 Series III SWB Hard Top with only a few thousand on the clock and has been kept in a garage all its life! for £900! now correct me if i'm wrong but that sounds damn good!
I've a couple of questions if you'll bare with me!
It hasn't moved for a year or two! and I'm yet to travel and visit it. I'm going to take some fuel and a battery booster but any other recommendations for getting it going? Quite simply no one has tried or is near enough to where its kept to find out if it starts or not!
How capable are the 3series at the rough stuff? We have a rather steep u- even field i'd love to try it on but i can't find any information about its gradient limits etc and most photos on the internet show them sitting on a flat field or someone's drive way!
Any answers or ideas will be well recieved!
Cheers
Tom
