Evening guys,

Quick (and maybe daft) question... I've recently bought a locking hasp for my Series IIA which will fit perfectly... What I didn't consider is that the screws holding the surround to the filler neck in place were machine screws and nuts rather than self-tappers... Am I right in thinking I'll have to remove the fuel tank to gain access to the nuts? I suppose I could always drill them out and rivet the hasp in place but it seems a bit of a drastic step...! If there's a short cut please let me know...! Cheers, Andy
 
I think you might be able to take off the cover over the filler hose and disconnect the filler hose from the cap, possibly you may be able to get it then but not sure

Steel pop rivets would be more secure than self tappers ... :confused: :D
 
Cheers guys... it's the screws holding the filler hose/pipe cover that are the issue, doesn't look like i can get a spanner on the nuts on the inside of the bodywork without removing the tank...
