right then its now time for a good old winge about the price of new and used hood sticks for a swb series-
why on earth are they so expensive - they arent exactly hard to make and there pretty common so why?! i was at billing and i was told £200 for a full set of used series swb sticks WTF?!
i have access to a bending machine and i am capable of using it - i just need a template or a pattern etc - i have a full hood and a cab canvas just no sticks. any one know of any good places to get hood sticks/hoops ((cheap) cos im a student) or at least a good template - ie CAD drawing or whatever
what should i expect to pay for new and used hood sticks?

The only other thing I can suggest pyro is that you advertise privately or keep an eye on ebay. Other than that look out for a set from a 109, these sometimes are a little cheaper. I once adapted a set from a 109 for one of my previous swb landys. 109 sets come with an extra hoop (between the rear and forward most hoops) this centre hoop has a plate on the bottom at each side with bolt holes in them. Position it on the tub midway between the rear and forward most hoops and drill through the capping and bolt it down. You know have 4 tubes that run from front to back that are too long, just cut off the excess tube to suit, hammer them flat and drill to suit.
Job done.
