I a have 2 rovers now and have had a few in the past but I have never had a series 1, 2, or 3. I have the chance to buy one now but I don't even know which series it is what is the difference between a series 2 and 3, it is supposed to be a 72 model but I don't know for sure and has a 3.5 v8 in it, is that a factory motor it is right hand drive, the body is straight, and everything on the inside is nice, it needs a back door and some paint, the only rust is the floorboards and they are not real bad. What should something like this be worth? Any Ideas or input would helpful and really appreciated

Post chassis number on here and someone will be able to tell you what you're looking at. Welcome to the funny farm.

post a piccy and even more fook will be able to tell yer what it is(unless bits have bin swapped)

Well assuming your year is right then it could be the last of the series 2a or a early series 3 but i would bet on a 2a if i had too.
Series LR Dates - Timeline

Either way if its a good condition and original then in the UK that would be worth anywhere from £500 to £3000 but in the USA it would be worth alot more say from $5000usd and up.

Pictures would be good !

I think series 3 (Series 3 production run started 71) I say series 3 because mine was registered in 72 and was built only a couple of months before being registered. It will be a non standard engine thats fitted. On the upside tho... Its a very nice non standard engine :)

Yip, I can vouch fer 3.5 V8's in Series IIIs. If the injuneering bit is done well, they are V naaaaarce. :D
