My series 3 2.25 diesel won't move at all, engine won't turn even when it's being boosted and it won't roll even when everything is in neutral and the clutch is down, it just rocks like it's still in gear :s All wheels have full and free movement when they're off the floor, I'm confused.......

Handbrake is off, it will only spin the diff when 2 wheels are off the floor, when only one is up it's as if it's in gear

There is yo prob - coz the drive is going from one wheel to the other. ignore wheels turning unless you can turn each wheel individually. Something is definately siezed in the drive train.
Check that the handbrake drum will turn.

Yeh I think it could be the handbrake drum stopping it move but I'm still confused about the engine not turning, it's so frustrating now, all I want to do is get it roadworthy so I can take it off road :s

Have you checked for power at the starter motor and power to the small wire going to the spade terminal when the key is turned to start position? Have you checked all engine, chassis and body earths, not just look but take them off, clean to bare metal and replace?

The engine goes to turn but its as if the battery has no power, even when its being jump started, it makes the engine of the car jumping it labour but still doesnt turn, i know it needs a new battery but i didnt think that would matter when its being jump started

Earth lead corroded away. Put a single black jump lead from Neg to a nice shiny part of you engine in such a way that it will not come off nor get tangled if the engines fires.

If this solves your problem then you have an earth issue if not then look elsewhere.

Put the negative jump lead to a good earth on the engine of the landy, like a bolt head, not to the battery. Does sound like the battery's fooked, was it the original battery or a new 'un?
