Hi All!

1981 SWB Series 3

Trying to tart the old girl up piece by piece and want to the get the wheels re-sprayed.

I've looked lots of places for the colour but seem to only come up with limestone which it definitely isn't. Its the off-white colour, same as the hard-top.

Any ideas which I should be getting and where I can get it from??

Thanks
J

The off white same as hard top IS limestone.

Thanks for getting back Col.

It looks too yellow on all the descriptive pics...mine is the same as below (if you can see the picture)?

Yes your wheels are limestone. Are you looking at paint that is landrover limestone. It is a sort of creamy white. See if your supplier will give you a small sample.

Some of the reproductions are quite yellow.
They soon die down a bit. Specially when the rust comes back through round the wheel nuts. :(

It fades over many years to be close to white. I suspect the correct limestone will look creamy alongside the hardtop.
