Hi Landrover team,

piecing together my Series 3 Petrol SWB,

Have looked through parts book & Manual but no answers,

So.... Do I Need washers on the U Bolts on the Axle Spring set up - i use parabolics

a lock washer on each u-bolt that you bend the tabs over on (i.e. each pair of nuts), or nyloc nuts.

X1 the nuts are nylon. The important thing is to torque them correctly. It’s very easy to over torque and strip the thread, which at that point in the job is a bummer, back to square one.

thanks all, will torque up without the washers as using nyLocks
