Series 3 hybrid , looks defender but screen and body series 3 . My issue is at 6ft 5in I am struggling to see under top windscreen bar , seating in it is after market and probably out of a Ford or something ..... so before I look at new seating any ideas as to a low seated seat that can help with my height .?
Cheers for any help

I have a similar problem in my series 3 lwb station wagon. I have original seats and I've removed the sun visor but I still have to bend to see the traffic lights change when stationary. There isn't that much padding in the original seat base so a seat with even less isn't going to help much. I have considered making (or getting made) a custome seat box that is lower but that would cause complications with the handbrake and the fuel tank under the driver seat. If yours is a truck cab, I think you are probably knackered unless you take out the seat entirely and sit on the seat box. I'm not sure how an mot tester would view this though. Driving an old landy is a series of compromises, being tall just makes matters worse. It's a case of putting up with it or getting rid of it.

I have moved it about with no seat in it .... and yes suits perfectly apart from slightly un comfortable and I doubt mot tester would be impressed . So I am thinking of a self made bench seat as low as I can realistically go with some comfort . I have heard of people making a rear seat of a car fit !??

Hey bottom line is land rovers aren't perfect but good or bad keep em original, including seats.. just part of the whole fun thing!!!
