Hi all. I went to look at a series 3 today and I think I'm going to buy it this week :). I have been researching about fitting a DIY snorkel, which seems easy enough to do. My question is about connecting the snorkel to the air filter box. Do people tend to keep the original box or get another one from a different vehicle? And if so which vehicles make suitable air box donors? Thanks in advance for any information.

PS Are there any series owners from Wycombe on here? I have just seen an immaculate series 3 SWB at the wycombe marsh retail park. Does anyone on here own it?

Cheers, Jet.

Alright mate,
if im honest its really personal preference whether you keep the original or not, i find it tends to be too bulky and gets in the way alot. You can replace it with pretty much anything as long as the hose is the same diameter. If you need any help on fitting the snorkel, check out "http://www.landyworld.co.uk/diylandroversnorkel.htm".
Is it a diesel or petrol?

Thanks for the advice guys. It is a diesel (if I buy the one I looked at), but it is an old 110 turbo engine in it. I think I will try and get a plastic air box and make something up.
