Hello all and sorry for a boring first post but I'm in a bit of a hurry!

Could someone give me an indication of much this S3 is worth. I'll give all the details I can remember. I'm looking to sell this in a few months when I go to university (no landy for three years, noo!).

Series 3 1982 (Y) Original 2 1/4 Diesel Hardtop SWB 88
4 Speed gearbox, sounds good 4wd/2wd works ok no crunches. All gears pull well.
Bodywork very good condition, door tops slightly rusty - could probably do with replacing but maybe able to patch up.
leaf springs a bit rusty but generally ok.
steering seems responsive and light, as light as a landy can be!
Very clean interior, seats slightly ripped nothing major.
Halogen headlights + 2 spots on A-bar wired into main beam
Heater works!
Brand New radiator, fuel pump gearing cog and electrics overhaul plus new brake pads, shoes and wheel cylinder (one side) on front and new brake servo in last 2 months. All work done by land rover garage (but for free - favour of a friend so to speak!)
Dark green colour, white cab
all round good tyres inc spare
partial service history, from about 1990 - serviced regularly, all repairs done by garage in cornwall. Genuine 97000 miles.
Smokes for about 20-30 secs from cold greyish-blue, after that no smoke at idle or under strain.
Hardly been off-roading since I've had it (hang my head in shame).
Will have mot for 9 months and tax for 6 months when I sell this.
Bad selling point: 11 previous owners!

What do we reckon? Can I hope for £1500?

Cheers!

Key points are chassis condition and bulkhead condition. Put a fresh MOT on it and you may attract a serious buyer.

Regards WP.

Bulkhead is sound, chassis underneath is fairly sound, although passenger footwell has been welded up recently.

a guy is asking £1750 for his s3 swb diesel, on another forum. but his has got a galvanised chassis.
so i reckon anything between 1000 and 1500 for yours.

Yours sounds pretty good so i agree with ormus but bare in mind if you try to buy something you would probably try to knock the price down so ask a couple of hundred more than what you want, then you've got room for nagotiation (in case you didnt know!!)
