cheap as chips, but bodged 200 tdi conversion sitting down on the front bump stops.....

originally a 2.25 petrol.

Q... should i go back to original, or sort a correct 200tdi conversion ?

thanks in advance for any help / advice ....

Chris

Was this the one for sale a few weeks back ?

if so keep the 200 and sort it, or dump in a 2.5 petrol

if all the original kit is still in there (apart from the engine) it wouldn't be too difficult to just drop a 2 1/4 back in ;)

is it running the original series box ? if so most probably conversion plate, if it only has two sticks then I'd think new box in

Dr, yes its the one for sale a few weeks ago, but the 200tdi is cooked...

not a prob as i'll use it for spares...

i'll probably take your advice and put a 2.5 petrol in, any idea where i might get a good one ??

Would suggest ebay or a local landy breaker, 2.5's are fairly cheap from what I've seen (had a few in my watch list) if not the Ford essex V6 seems to be a popular choice from what I've seen

ha ha thanks for the utube clips Dr, but i think i'll go with fitting a 2.25 petrol as MPG isn't an issue, thanks for your input fella's :D

id fit a 2.5 petrol in it ,just about perfect for a lightweight ,more power ,fiits as 2.25 alrerady has unleaded valve seats and quiet
