2.25 Diesel. Bought as a non runner. previous owner said it had developed a fuel problem and now would no longer start. I have changed all fuel lines from the tank to the injector pump, fitted new lift pump, filter and a second hand injector pump.
PROBLEM = No diesel from injector pipes.
Have bled filter and both bleeds on injector pump. good flow of diesel when I turn over the engine.
Valve springs are moving when turned over. i.e. timing chain ok.
Have run out of ideas.
Any help, Please

if no diesel coming out of pipes from injector then the pump cannot be turning, if pump is removed and engine turned over you should see the vertical drive going round. if not then suspect teeth on vertical drive gear/cam

Not quite ....

........... the engine STOP control may be in the STOP position. It may look OK on the outside but still be in STOP situation inside.

This is the first most likely cause of NO fuel at the injectors.

The second most likely is the drive shaft as you describe.
