Morning,

Just after some advise regarding which radiator fits best in a Series 3 200tdi conversion. I already have an intercooler from a 300tdi which looks to be the simplest to install due to the in/out pipes being situated on the same side. Just stumped as to which radiator to use.

Cheers
Matt

Do you have the rad / cooler frame for the 200 ?
P.S. Introduce your self on the main page, bit about you and your Landy is helpful.

Nope don't have either of those, the engine didn't come with the radiator or intercooler. I'm thinking the more I read that a 300tdi radiator should go in okay?

Ah will do that now.

When i did mine late S2a to 200tdi i used a 300 rad but at the time i was trying to sorce a fan belt, anyway once i found a fan belt using a disco alt and bracket and rad was in place the fan belt and bottom hose was in the way of each other and the only way round it was to get a 200tdi rad as the bottom hose neck on the rad is on the opposite side to the 300 rad, hope this helps

Lynall's set up is a good way to go as you do not have to mess with the series front panel much, but if you do not have that then the 200/300 rad frame may be the way to go and a grill to your liking.

I fitted my 200 as a DI so much easyer.....used the std S3 rad.....bags of power still.....and a nice simple in keeping engine.

Front panel totally std, even has a 16 inch cooling fan squeezed in there.
Only mod was to cut a chunk out of battery tray.

I went with series radiator, aftermarket oil cooler from a mini, intercooler from a Skoda fabia RS.
No fan as yet, but will add soon as I could be bothered finding an electric one that fits, with a shroud.
All fits in the front panel, after modification.
