Hi all, I've just started restoring my ex military 109, rear crossmember's completely rotten so ordering new, the one fitted is standard 109 ( tapered ends ) rather than the military spec ( square ends ).
In your opinions, is it better to return it to original spec or replace like for like ?
I'm gonna keep it, not restoring to resell, just looking for a bit of advice
Any good garages / mot / new or used parts places near Spalding ?
Thanks

For the sake of purity it always better to stick to original. On the other hand, series landrovers arent super rare and will never command classic Aston Martin prices so spending a fortune would not be wise. At the end of the day, its owners choice.
