Benefits would be the same as on ANY other engine. The Land Rover one doesn't confirm to different laws of physics.Read in one of the forums someone with a diesel series 2 with a straight through exhaust.

That said, any gains will be minimal as the engine makes so little power anyway.
As for noise, difficult to tell. Its not as if the engine is quiet and refined anyhow. And plenty of people have run Tdi's with straight through exhausts over the years which don't get super loud. The turbo will add some silencing, so I'd expect a NaD to be louder.
Basically it'll do no harm, but offer only minimal (maybe even imperceptible) improvements and could just end up making a lot of noise.
If it's a turbo charged engine then it probably won't be too bad. If no turbo then just wait for the blue lights flashing behind you...Read in one of the forums someone with a diesel series 2 with a straight through exhaust.
