I'm currently looking out for a good gearbox to go in my 88" 2286 petrol Landy. The current box gave up the ghost on the way back from Peterborough in September (not through lack of oil I hasten to add and it was a re-con no more than 18 months old, a bit crap eh ?). I've only got final drive so it's gotta be layshaftitis and I'm not overly keen on stripping it cos it may be other component related, then comes the probable "process of illimination" and then the gearbox is going to be in out in out and shake it all about. If anyone knows of anything suitable in the Derby area then please let me know. Many thanks, oh and hello as well !
