ive recently come into possession of a series 1 think its 1952/53 (not collected it yet) and i have a high compression rover 3.5 with series adapter plate from a series 2 light weight.

has anyone done this before and can offer direction as to what parts im gonna need and things to be aware of??

its got a 2.25 diesel clutch on the engine will this fit okay on an s1 box?

The adapter plate won't fit straight to the series one box as the bolt holes are in a different place, best thing is to get a latter series box. also you will need an oil filter adapter and remote filter so the oil pump is clear of the axle even then be very careful with your calculations I have seen a few that looked well clear but still hit the axle.

It's got the remote filter etc. I was told that the adapters fit some of the later s1 boxes as some have v8 on s1 box? If not I'll get a 2a box as well. Just more money that I could spend on other things
